Our client provides managed IT services to businesses. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer to join their team.

As a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a first-class level of technical support to customers relating to our client’s cloud services.

Liaising with customers via the telephone, you will strive to resolve any technical issues in a timely manner and exceed targets and customer expectations. Working closely with other members of the Technical Support Team, you’ll also present and feedback any technical issues in a friendly and constructive manner.

You’ll play a key role in reviewing, creating and delivering a wide range of customer support materials to provide a greater level of customer self-service capability. Additionally, working with Software and System Engineers, you’ll embed automation into our client’s business systems to give customers a fast and efficient experience.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– At least three years’ experience gained in a 1st or 2nd line support role

– Experience of ITIL V3 methodology

– A proven track record of using Windows XP, 7 and 8, 2003, 2008 and 2012 and Microsoft SBS packages

– Networking experience using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN

– Knowledge of Outlook, SQL and Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010
– A degree

As a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer, you must possess excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills and a customer-focused approach. Adaptable and organised, you must also have strong relationship-building abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
