ACCESSLine Call Handler – Immediate Start

Full-time & Part-time
Salary: £26,000 per year
Pertemps Dundee are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-known Public Sector organisation, for ACCESSLine Call Handlers to start immediate temporary contract. These are full-time and part-time positions offering 36.25hrs or 25hrs per week respectively. Offices are based in Forfar and some remote working may be considered once fully trained.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent customer care skills, experience of working in a customer focused environment and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
As ACCESSLine Call Handler you will:
- Receive telephone calls coming in on main council and ACCESS telephone lines.
- Assist callers through the provision of information and advice about council services.
- Redirect internal and external calls to appropriate departmental extensions within council as required.
- Receive, register and record details of enquiries accurately. Forward to departmental representatives as appropriate.
- Issue leaflets and application forms on request from callers and provide assistance in completion of forms.
- Maintain accurate information including, advisory notes and application forms on council services and issue to enquirers.
- Regularly review and update information held to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with accurately and efficiently
- Carry out daily and weekly programming of the ACCESSLine voicemail system.
- Deal with customer enquiries via web chat.
- Receive and deal with telephone debit/credit card transactions in respect of council services.
- Carry out duties in accordance with the council’s customer care standards.
- To comply with all data protection law in the processing of personal, and special categories of personal data, in line with the council’s full privacy statement and service privacy notices.

- Good keyboard speed
- Self-starter, willing to learn, flexible
- Experience of Microsoft packages
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Experience of dealing with the public
