Where you’ll be working:
As an Area Manager you will be responsible for 13 stores with a turnover of around £18 million. The territory covers the South Coast, South Wales and up as far as Worcester – you will already be based within the area, ideally in Bristol or Swindon.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing small teams spread over a large geographical area
- Getting involved in every aspect of store management
- Increasing performance and driving Sales
- People Management including recruitment & training
- Ensuring our teams deliver excellent customer service
- Cost Control
What skills and experience you’ll need:
- A proven track record of being a hands on Area Manager spending time with your people as opposed to managing them remotely
- A great eye for detail
- The passion and enthusiasm to lead from the front
- The commercial skills to deliver a profitable and efficient operation
- Effective people management skills to maintain good staff retention
- Experience in ensuring business KPI’s are met
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Effective Communication skills, both oral and written
- A passion for our products or experience of working with them is desirable
- Experience within a customer service focussed environment would be an advantage
- Due to the nature of this role a full, clean UK driving licence is essential
