Our client based in Sheffield if looking for a new designer to join the team they want their next studio appointment to be Responsible for producing conceptual designs for exhibitions and events for internal and external clients. Briefs include a broad spectrum of opportunities from small stand design to large temporary structures.

Requirements

• Design degree or similar qualification or commensurate experience

• Knowledge of the applications Vector works and 3DS Max would be a distinct advantage, however proficiency in other 3D design software applications will be considered. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is also particularly useful

• Knowledge of the exhibition industry with good understanding of custom and modular build methods

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  Key activities and responsibilities

• Produce design concepts including fully rendered visuals based on verbal and or a written brief supplied by the project leader

• Research subject matter, including products and client

• Plan out spaces effectively to include all requested elements with consideration of traffic flow

• Develop designs of appropriate style, staying within given budget limitations

• Undertake 2D drawing of plans and elevations

• Setting up of graphic layouts in adherence with brand guidelines

• Produce working drawings and liaise with Project Managers on construction

• Prepare presentation material when requested

• Attend client presentations to discuss ideas and develop proposals

• Keep abreast of industry trends and events

• Maintain organised workflow and hit specified deadlines

• Ensure full utilisation of in-house services and use of stock items

• Actively engage in continuous improvement programme

• Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company

• Participate in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure your actions reflect the standards of this policy; reuse, recycle and replenish.
