2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer

As Support Engineer you will be responsible for developing the business’s IT support function. This function is the primary growth area for the business and presents several career opportunities for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for dealing with all support calls, department direction setting and new solution development.

You will report directly to the Service Delivery Manager. The role will predominantly be client facing and based within the City of London and West End, although the role may extend to include travel to other parts of London at a later stage.

Technical skills:
*Good working knowledge of Hyper-V, VMware or Citrix Hyper-Visor platforms, Windows OS hosting and supporting hardware in a multi tenanted, hosted environment.
*Good working knowledge of Storage Platforms and their configurations for multi tenanted
environments;
*Able to install, configure and support Windows Server 2008 / 2012 topologies and networks;
*Able to configure and support Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and Power Shell;

The successful candidate will have

*A proven track record in a IT support role for an outsourced IT support provider;
*A strong focus on customer service delivery;
*A team player with well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
*Be able to identify additional sales opportunities for the business and demonstrate where they
have done so in the past;
*Good telephone manner;
*Worked with a variety of clients in an SME environment.

The following would be highly beneficial but is not essential:
*Knowledge of how to administer ConnectWise;
*MCSE or other relevant qualifications to the above technologies;
*Working knowledge of Avaya telephone systems;
*Able to configure and support Microsoft Exchange 2007 / 2010 / 2012;
*A commercial mind with IT services sales experience;
*Experience of outsourced telephony and internet solutions.
