Banking Customer Services Officer

An exciting new opportunity has become available for a banking customer services officer.

Duties to include:

Job Purpose:

• To provide efficient cash and cheque receipt and payment services to ensure quality customer service

• To provide prompt and good customer service at all times – general account management & enquiries
• Cross sell bank’s products and services uncovered during business interactions and/or conversations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Handling of all cash/cheque deposit/withdrawal & ensure compliance with Till limit at all times. Ensure that cheques received by 3pm are processed same day. Cheques received thereafter must be scanned and processed before 10.00am next working day.
2. Processing of Internet Banking application – Set up & administration/enquiries – must process request on day of receipt, review of user activity & profile
3. Account Maintenance & change of customer details (e.g. change of name, address, mandate etc.)
4. Account Closure- complete closure process within 24 hours of instruction.
5. Dormant Accounts management – activation/payment from dormant balances.
6. Standing Orders – Set up/maintenance/charges. Monitor daily schedule.
7. Process Returned Mails
8. Processing of “nature & purpose” queries – correspondence to client within 24 hours & prompt follow-up as applicable.
9. Processing of stop cheque
10. Process Returned Cheques & mail cheque via recorded delivery.
11. Draft Issuance within 30 minutes.
12. Monitoring of overdrawn balances/writing letters to client
13. Back-up for Cashier Transactions
14. Monthly Risk Review – complete review of monthly assigned accounts by end of the month
15. Customer enquiries
16. Any other duties assigned from time to time.

This is a temp to perm opportunity and the client is willing to pay a competitive salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.
