Join us, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to safeguarding within education assessment. As Deputy Safeguarding Lead you’ll understand how to prioritise, effectively handling a caseload of safeguarding referrals, assessing and triaging appropriately, and allocating work to a seasonal workforce. Being outcome focussed, you’ll monitor progress of cases, ensuring that acceptable timelines are met. You’ll also put your excellent communication skills to good use, liaising with schools and other external agencies as necessary.
Reporting to the Safeguarding Lead you will be resilient person, with a positive can-do attitude and adept at working in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll need:
- To confidently investigate, gather and review information and take decisions, acting promptly.
- The ability to produce, gather and interpret sensitive information from a variety of sources to support sound decision-making.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities, setting and adhering to deadlines and logging information accurately and in a timely, on-going way.
- To be a skilled communicator, both orally and in writing, with the ability to build and foster effective working relationships.
- To confidently assess risks and recommend actions, taking responsibility for decision-making or escalating as appropriate.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment whilst maintaining quality of decision-making and outcomes.
- The ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
- To have a ‘step up’ mindset: contributing to a motivated and positive team culture, focussed on service delivery and continuous improvement.
