Job Description
Windsor Forest College Group is looking for a Sessional Technical Skills Coach – Engineering to join the BCA team on a Sessional basis across the full year.
Technical Skills Coach Engineering
Working across the full year (Note: this is not a term time only position) for up to 21 hours a week on a Sessional basis, the Technical Skills Coach – Engineering will:
Successfully manage a caseload of apprentices to provide support and enhance the apprentice and employer experience for our Engineering Levels 2-6 Apprenticeship Programmes.
They will do so through effective skills coaching and mentoring of apprentices to achieve a successful end point assessment. To achieve this goal the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Conduct progress reviews with the apprentice and line manager every 8-12 weeks either in the workplace or remotely to discuss learner progress, provide feedback, discuss any concerns, track completions towards skills, knowledge and behaviours ensuring the apprentice is working towards Gateway readiness.
Carry out an initial assessment with the apprentice before commencing the programme and establishing the pathway and level to be undertaken. Agree realistic start and planned end dates ensuring all aspects of the standards will be achieved by conducting a skills scan with apprentice and employer during first visit.
And support stakeholders and employers in understanding their responsibilities relating to on and off job training required by the apprentice, you will also be responsible in monitoring and tracking the apprentices off the job training hours.
