Operations Project Manager – Solar

Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year

They are looking for an electrically qualified Operations / Project Manager to own the delivery of their solar projects from the development stage through to completion. They value approach and attitude as much as qualifications and experience. With many internal and external stakeholders, you’ll need to be a clear communicator and be comfortable on a client’s site as well as behind a desk. Project management experience within the energy solutions sectors and a sound electrical technical knowledge is desirable.

Operations Project Manager Responsibilities

* Take projects from mobilisation through to completion on time and in budget in a controlled and co-ordinated manner, adapting to any changes with minimal disruption to client and company.

* Production of detailed site surveys reports which capture all the relevant information pertinent to the energy saving solutions proposed in a form that can be used by several different stakeholders.

* Prepare, publish and present health & safety documentation to staff, partners, clients and any other stakeholders which covers all the applicable risks and mitigates with safe working practices.

* Work with strategic partners and suppliers to obtain best value quotations for the installation phase of the project, including mechanical, electrical, plant and scaffolding.

* Own the mobilisation of projects, including procurement and logistics of materials, plant and personnel.

* Be responsible for site set-up and site management of the project for the duration of the project, including management of materials, plant and sub-contractors.

* Quality check and review works completed ensuring the best possible solutions are delivered and handover to the client who acts as a glowing reference to continue the organic growth of the company.

* Constantly evolve the role, the companies capability and processes to deliver positive company change.

Operations Project Manager Skills and Experience

Essential Experience

• Commercial Electrician with HV / LV experience.

• Site Management / Operational Management experience.

• Sub-contractor management / team management

Qualifications

• 18th Edition.

• 2391 Test and Inspection

• Solar PV Quals.

• SSTS / SMSTS

• IOSH / NEBOSH

• IPAF

DBS Clearance – Must be able to work in sensitive environments; schools and care homes and have a 5-year checkable history.

Driving Licence – Hold a full UK driving licence with no disqualifications and no more than 6 penalty points.
