Operations Manager – Healthcare

Our client is the largest private hospital provider in the UK with 69 hospitals and an unrivalled reputation for delivering outstanding patient care within pleasant, comfortable surroundings.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Operations Manager to assume responsibility, as part of the Senior Management Team, for the non-clinical service delivery of our client’s three reputable hospitals in the Buckinghamshire region.

This exceptional career opportunity will require the successful candidate to accept a comprehensive and wide-ranging remit, to include…

• Providing leadership and strategic direction for all non-clinical departments within the hospitals, including administration, housekeeping, catering, reception/front of house and health & safety.
• Maximising the financial performance of all non-clinical departments through robust business planning and budgetary management, whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery, customer care and patient satisfaction at all times.
• Contributing to the strategic, operational and business development of the hospitals.
• Providing direct support to the Executive Director and deputising in his/her absence.
• Responsibility for compliance to internal and external audit standards within the hospitals, to include ‘SHE’ (Safety, Health and Environment).
• Identifying business development opportunities such as new service lines and driving the further development of existing services.
• Initiating and following through capital expenditure proposals, to include major refurbishment projects in all hospital areas.
• Responsibility for ensuring revenue capture is maximised.

Applicants will be exceptional communicators, ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) and with extensive, proven experience working at management level within a reputable healthcare, service or hospitality environment.

Outstanding leadership, motivational and team-working skills are essential, as is demonstrable commercial and strategic awareness, IT familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and an appreciation of the importance of delivering excellent customer care whilst maintaining a business focus at all times.

An extremely competitive package awaits the successful candidate, including annual salary of up to £72,000p.a. D.O.E., bonus (up to 15% basic salary), pension, private health insurance, health screening, childcare vouchers and free on-site parking.
