Quantity Surveyor

Our client is one of the leading engineering companies operating within the Rail industry in the U.K. They currently have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their successful team.

JOB PURPOSE:

Work as part of the commercial team to ensure Provision of a professional Quantity Surveying service.

MAIN TASKS: –

1.Provide information to measure the financial and physical performance of projects against targets.

2.Ensure best utilisation of resources to maximise profitability of projects/contracts.

3.Provide relevant information for preparation of reports/claims to agreed timescales.

4.Assist in preparation of estimates for bids.

5.Prepare and submit change control and monitor using a tracker.

6.Preparation and submit where applicable applications for payment. Awareness of debtor days.

7.Keep all relevant records updated on IFS (e.g. payment certificates, retention, contract docs etc).

8.Produce and input all information relevant to the CVR in conjunction with the SQS.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA: –

1.As part of the team, ensure income and margin targets are achieved.

2.Ensure timeous cash collection to laid down procedures.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS: –

1.Qualifications & Experience:

*Qualified Quantity Surveyor or similarly qualified construction professional. (HNC/HND or equivalent).
*2 years post qualification experience within the Construction Industry.
*IT literate.
*Good communication skills.
