LEADING WASTE MANAGEMENT ORGANISATION REQUIRES DEPOT OPERATIONS MANAGER TO LEAD FROM THE FRONT IN A PROGRESSIVE OPERATIONS ROLE

: Depot Operations Manager – Waste Management and Recycling

Salary: £60,000 – £66,000dependent upon experience plus Laptop, Mobile and negotiable package for the right candidate

Location: You will be considered from the following areas – Newport, Bristol, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Caldicot, Thornbury, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath, Brecon, Hereford

Previous experience: Waste Management Depot Manager, Operations Manager, Transport Operations Manager, Collection and Delivery General Manager, Waste Management Operations Manager, Depot Manager, Collections Operations Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Depot Manager

ROLE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This role would suit someone who wants to work for a best in class organisation. Our client are completely dedicated to leading the field in the fast moving waste and recycling sector.

You should be experienced leading a team from the front consisting of transport, operations, admin and maintenance / compliance and of course drivers

You will deliver a motivated and engaged workforce and an effective service, managing all resources and staff at your disposal

A proven track record in a waste management, recycling, cardboard, plastics, metals, clinical, glass, confidential waste or secure data destruction is required

You will have a strong commercial understanding of the Waste Management industry and have evidence of working within budgets and KPI’s

You should have experience of making quick decisions under pressure in a fast paced environment

Someone who understands the value of customer service as a key point of differentiation within the space

You will understand compliance You may also have experience working within ISO standards
Strong IT, communication and negotiation skills will be required
Any COTC in waste management a plus
A proven track record as a depot manager is desirable
You MUST be committed to inspiring and enforcing a positive Health and Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available.
IOSH and or NEBOSH are therefore desirable
