General Catering Assistants (Various) – Conservation / Charity

Ideally you will have great people skills, be passionate about delivering excellent customer service as well as being able to work as part of a team. Previous experience in a kitchen environment or customer service role is preferable though not essential as full training will be provided, though a ‘can do’ attitude is a must.

Position: General Catering Assistants (Various Contracts Available)
Salary: £26,000per year (Including weekend enhancement)
Location: Whipsnade Zoo, Near Dunstable, Beds

The catering team at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo are looking for dynamic and forward thinking individuals to join our well established team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintaining impeccable standards ensuring our visitors take away a great experience from the Zoo.

Person Specification:
• Applicants must be able to deliver a high standard of customer service within a team environment.
• Good people & communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work upon one’s own initiative.
• Previous experience of working within a hospitality focused environment is desired.
• Awareness of Hygiene standards.
• A ‘can do’ attitude, prepared to help out the rest of the team in a willing and positive manner.
• Able to work in a busy environment.

Please note: The General Catering Assistant roles available are all permanent, which involve regular weekend, bank holiday and some evening work to meet the needs of the business. As mentioned in the title we also have various contracts on offer, which range from permanent part-time and several full-time positions.
