Managing Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £120,000 per year

Compass Resourcing are currently working with a leading UK house builder who have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds.

The role of Managing Quantity Surveying requires you to be an experienced professional with substantial experience at senior level within a Quantity Surveying, house building role. You will be responsible for leading the day to day commercial aspects of new build residential developments. This position would suit a good Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take the next step or an existing Managing Quantity Surveyor with a few years of experience at that level for another large UK house builder.

You will report to the Commercial Director and lead the Quantity Surveying functions in the procurement of sub-contracts from award through to the agreement of the final account, and maximise profitability having regard to sub-contract relations and the companies’ strategic objectives with regard to repeat business.

Skills & Experience:

* You will have solid experience with either a national or regional house builder

* Demonstrable experience of delivering residential projects within budget and programme

* Proven experience in managing more junior quantity surveyors

* Innovative – ability to identify better ways of doing things

* A good team player, someone who wants to be part of a growing business to achieve common goals.

* Demonstrate strong account management and commercial experience

* Strong team player, with the ability to operate and excel in a changing on-site environment

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience

Standard working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30m-5.00pm
