Senior Test Analyst – Test Automation

Test Analyst / Tester / Software Tester / Test Engineer (Automation, Agile, BDD)
Edinburgh, Scotland Central Belt
6 Month Contract (likely to extend to 12 months)
£300-350/day (depending on experience)

KEY SKILLS: Test Analyst, Test Engineer, Software Testing, Automated Testing, Agile, BDD, Web Application Testing

Test Analyst with experience in Test Automation, Agile, BDD and Web Application Testing required on an initial 6 month contract for a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh City. The Test Analyst will be passionate about testing and software development and will work closely with Business Analysts and Developers on the developed solutions.

Experience Required:
– Understanding of value of test automation in the Agile environments
– Working knowledge of at least one programming language
– Ability to build and maintain or design and drive test automation framework
– Understanding of database concept and ability to write basic SQL queries
– Understanding of non-functional aspects of web application testing such as UI, Accessibility, Security and Performance
– Experience working in the Agile projects
– Experience using BDD approach to software development
– Passionate about testing and software development
– Understanding of structured test methods and processes
– Excellent team worker ¿ especially with development and business
– Challenging and enquiring mind
– Attention to detail and persistence
– Understanding of common software failures and faults
– Ability to effectively prioritise work and manage stress
– Understanding of risk based approach to testing
