The Client & Role | Who Are They?

If you are an experienced and talented quality engineer seeking an exciting new challenge, then we want to hear from you! We are recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our inclusive and collaborative team.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

In this Senior Quality Engineer role, you will be a key member of the team in the ongoing growth and development of the business as they further enhance their reputation for customer service and quality. Focused on raw materials to finished products, you will also supervise a small team of inspectors overseeing all aspects of quality.

Working closely with the Quality Manager you will also help the business to achieve its potential by taking ownership of quality issues, NCR’s, working with suppliers and looking at quality KPI’s, including RFT and OTIF.

Some of the key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting a quality culture through the effective use of reporting and KPIs.
• Review and where appropriate develop a suite of KPIs that drive OTIF and RFT.
• Motivate and drive a team in a collaborative way.
• Identify areas for further investment.

To succeed, you should have a quality background with some supervisory experience of a small team or apprentices, together with experience and evidence of delivering tangible quality improvements:

• An understanding of modern and efficient manufacturing quality tools and methodologies including 8D and PPAP.
• Previous experience of CMM machines would be desirable.
• Excellent communication, management, and organisational skills.
