Trainee CAD Technician

Due to a healthy forward workload, Our client is currently looking to appoint Trainee Technician(s) to join the Aberdeen office. The successful candidate(s) will have a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in Civil & Structural Engineering and be sponsored on a day release basis to gain qualifications up to HNC standard. The normal working day will see the candidate trained in the use of AutoCAD and other software, whilst producing drawings on a variety of projects in support of the engineers within the office. The opportunity exists for the candidate to gain experience in elements of design calculations when their training is sufficiently advanced. These positions are suitable for school leavers.

Responsibilities:

o Provide draughting support to the engineers and other CAD technicians in the office.
o Provide general support to experienced staff
o Develop design skills to progress as a technician through to Incorporated Engineer Status.
o Maintain Electronic Archive
o Arrange Surveys

Qualifications / Experience:

o Candidates should have an interest in computing and computer aided draughting.
o Any construction industry experience would be advantageous
o Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure
