Salary: £14.76 per hour
Semi-Skilled Site Engineer
Huddersfield/UK
80% Field based
Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm (36 hours).
*Some Fridays (Overtime) 7:30am to 4:00pm – paid at time and a half
£14.76 per hour
+ £1.05 per hour whilst working onsite.
+ Hotel & Breakfast paid when staying away.
+ £20 meal allowance per day when staying away.
+ Pension contribution £27.31 pw (Employee must contribute 2.5% pw to qualify)
Due to continued growth, an established and very specialist engineering firm, who design, manufacture, install and maintain their equipment around the UK and some parts of Europe, are now keen to appoint a Semi-Skilled Site Engineer.
The successful candidate will be given training at Head Office for around 1 month, then ongoing support on site with an experienced site engineer.
80% of the work will be field based. Normally you will be home on a Thursday evening, or sometimes on a Friday evening, depending on where the project is based in the UK.
Monday morning is normally a trip to Head Office to collect equipment before heading to site.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Site Work Supervisor and General Manager, you will be required to:
* Assemble, install, and maintain a range of specialist equipment around the UK.
ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
* Experienced Semi-Skilled Engineer.
* Site work experience.
* Happy to work away on a regular basis.
* Able to provide own basic tools. (Specialist tools provided)
* Full clean UK driving licence (max 3 points)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Duties:
* General labouring duties.
* Loading / unloading of vehicles.
* Hands on installation, snagging, problem solving and maintenance etc. as necessary
* Driving company vehicles.
* Limited use of small power tools.
* Assisting other production employees in fabricating and assembly areas.
* Screen assembly work.
* Liaison with Customers and Contractors and others including LECo etc. as necessary
* Maintenance and care of tools and equipment, vehicles and plant provided for use.
* Representing the company professionally, always acting in its best interests.
* Ensuring not to bring the company into disrepute.
Other working requirements:
* Any other duties not specifically mentioned herein but necessary to ensure satisfactory completion of work associated with Site work.
* Other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as the Company may require
Expected to work within the scope of:
* Quality system BS EN ISO 9001 (including training).
* All company policies including Health & Safety systems and Environmental.
* Any other company policies
