Warehouse Operations Manager (Glasgow)

A long standing, forward thinking and well known household name are currently looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team. This fantastic opportunity will give the right candidate the chance to gain experience with one of the UKs biggest and most influential FMCG companies.

The Role

As the Warehouse Operations Manager you will be expected to successfully manage all aspects of the Warehouse Operation ensuring it operates to the agreed customer service levels and budget by leading and directing your team to deliver the overall warehouse operational plan.

Warehouse Operations Manager duties:

*Create and implement the annual Warehouse Operating Plan which is aligned to the logistics vision (People, Efficiency and Service) by collaborating with peers and stakeholders.
*Lead, coach and develop team in order to ensure that people are engaged and performance focussed
*Achieve a culture of continuous improvement, involving all colleagues and aligning to the logistics vision (People, Efficiency and Service) in order to drive measured improvements to performance and service.
*Deliver the Warehouse operational budget reviewed against financial targets (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and KPI’s in order to deliver a cost effective operation.
*Manage compliance so that all individuals understand and are able to fulfil the requirements of their role, in order that the operating plan can be achieved and service levels maintained.
*Manage the warehouse to ensure it operates within business guidelines and legislative requirements in order to protect all site personnel (employees, contractors, visitors etc) and reputation and ensure that operational compliance is maintained.
*To build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the distribution centre can deliver its operational plan in the most efficient and effective way.

You

As the Warehouse Operations Manager you will come from a customer focused distribution background. You will have a good understanding of complex logistics operations with working Knowledge of relevant Legislation – Health and Safety, Employment Law etc. As the Warehouse Operation Manager you will have High proficiency in technical aspects of warehouse operation as well as be a proven leader – Able to set an example for their team by displaying skills of delegation, motivation, self-awareness and emotional intelligence
