Junior Machinist – Machine Shop – Doncaster – Develop your engineering career!
Ash Consulting are working with a well established precision engineering company based in Doncaster who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic career focussed individual to join their growing team.
Key Duties
-Working with varied steels (Eg; stainless, carbon etc)s.
-Follow operating procedures and other recognised methods of instructions.
-Perform a variety of manufacturing activities involved in the production of custom parts.
-Responsible for inspecting finished materials/parts using callipers and micrometers to ensure dimensions are accurate.
-Learning finishing processes to ensure customer standards are met..
-Maintain tooling needs to minimise interruption of the parts creation process.
-Responsible for keeping a clean and safe workspace.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-At least 12 months machine shop experience
-Preferably some engineering qualifications or working towards
-Able to drill/tap holes in steel, Able to use various measuring tools.
-Experience using hand and power tools.
-Good maths skills.
-Any experience using band saws/ sander/grinders.
-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. when needed.
