THE CLIENT
My award winning client is a market leader in the private development sector, specialising in boutique, niche residential and mixed-use developments. They are renowned for their breadth of involvement with their projects.
With a wide knowledge base, spanning all aspects of mixed- use developments, combining office, residential, retail, hotels and leisure they have securely established their position as one of the top developers in London and further European expansion has been enabled recently due to their ongoing success.
Schemes typically consist of high end, residential led projects and are medium to large in terms of unit size.

THE ROLE
My client is looking for a commercial manager to oversee a fantastic new development in Central London.
Reporting to the commercial director you will oversee a team of 3 surveyors.
Consisting of 1300 units this £130M scheme will focus around 560 units in phase 1 initially. The development comprises of mainly residential properties with some leisure, commercial and retail aspects.
As this is a brand new scheme there is a real opportunity to be hands on and involved in your approach as the successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial aspects commencing at the design stage.
Principal responsibilities include all procurement aspects; chairing monthly meetings and ensuring the commercial team are assisted and supervised in all aspects of production.

THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL
The successful candidate will ideally hold chartered surveyor status with a minimum of 8- 10 years industry relevant experience in the residential development sector.
My client is looking for someone with a proven track record and extensive experience of residential developments on similar project sizes.
Ideally you will hold a degree in quantity surveying and have obtained chartered status although this is not essential for the role as relevant experience is the preference.
My candidate is looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to work well either on their own or as part of a team, you must be self-motivated, reliable and committed.
