Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – London.

My client a well-established building services consultancy has, due to planned expansion, an immediate requirement for an ambitious intermediate/senior level design engineer to join their team.

They are looking for a mechanical engineer who has a good knowledge of building services and is able to run projects with little or no assistance. They will work closely with the newly appointed associate engineer and will be an integral part of the growth of the business.

The successful candidate will be capable in the design and contract supervision of projects with every day services such as heating, ventilation, VRV air conditioning and domestic hot and cold water systems. This will include the production of drawings and specifications, tendering, attending site meetings and dealing with clients as well as site operatives. Project work includes hotel and high-end residential work.

You should have a relevant qualification in Mechanical Building Services Engineering and have undergone a period of training with a UK based building services consultant or contractor and at least three years post-training experience after that. Ideally you will be able to work on small/medium sized projects with the minimum of supervision.

You should have a working knowledge of Part L2 building regulations, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be familiar with Hevacomp, Cymap IES or similar.
