Our client is a successful developer based in North London. They have over 20 years of successful construction within London working mainly on the building of apartment blocks and traditional housing developments. They are actively searching for an experienced qualified structural engineer to join their preconstruction team. The role will be to manage the preconstruction / design phase of projects ranging from £5 million to £40 million.

ROLE:

* Manage teams of external consultants responsible for producing Reserved Matters and detailed technical design packages for complex structural and infrastructure on major projects.

* Provide technical assistance to the Land and Planning team during the promotion and planning application stages of development sites to ensure projects are technically deliverable, optimised and technical risks are mitigated where possible.

* Provide technical assistance to the preconstruction team on complex, often brownfield projects and RC Frame construction.

* Manage the technical approval process and subsequent legal agreement process associated with the adoption of highways and drainage.

* Ensure design and construction works are undertaken in accordance with the CDM Regulations and Company Health and Safety procedures.

* To develop and maintain for the Company good relationships with all individual companies and organisations.

CANDIDATE:

* Structural Engineer who has experience working with design teams on residential projects

* Experience of Brownfield Sites

* Experience of RC Frame

* Good knowledge of drainage, remediation and construction

* Steady work history

* Degree qualified

* Previous experience of residential developments either with a developer or consultancy

REMUNERATION:

* Salary ranging from £54,000 – £78,000depending upon experience
