Essex based Domestic Violence Refuge Worker required for an immediate start (Domestic Violence)

Salary: £26,000 – £30,420per year
Length:3 months ongoing
Start:Immediate

Essential:Current DBS and valid UK driving license and car

Our client, a Domestic Violence Service Provider based in Essex, is looking to recruit Refuge Worker on a 3 month ongoing basis. For the right candidate this may lead opportunities within the organisation in a permanent role.

Duties:
*Supporting vulnerable clients affected by Domestic Abuse in a Refuge Setting
*Carrying out CAADA-DASH assessments
*Setting up and reviewing safety plans, support plans, risks and needs assessments
*Key working clients in their own homes and in community based centres
*Liaising with partner agencies and specialist services including legal services, social services, the NHS and Housing and Benefits department
*Supporting clients in benefit, grants and loan applications
*Encouraging independent living and community engagement
*Advising on all aspects of housing and tenancy management and assisting with tenancy sustainment and income maximization (i.e. advising on arrears and available benefits)

Having worked with this client for a number of years we have found them to develop interim and permanent staff and encourage team working and training.

Essential Requirements:
*DBS dates in past 12 months
*Extensive experience supporting victims of Domestic Abuse
