SEN 1:1 Learning Support

Salary: £26,000 per year

SER are currently supporting a large specialist school in Sevenoaks who are looking for Learning Support Assistants. The school caters for students aged 8-18 whom have an EHCP of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).

We are looking for several LSAs to work across the main school, with KS2 – KS4 students.

The position, due to start in September, will begin on a long-term contract before being offered a permanent contract directly with the school, if successful.

There is parking onsite and due to the school’s rural location, you will need to drive.

Position:  

• Learning Support Assistant (Contract)  
• Full – Time (Monday – Friday)  
• Hours: 08:15 – 15:30  
• Daily Rate £26,000 per year  

Key Requirements:  

• Experience of working in schools (preferably SEMH)
• Understanding of SEMH 
• Good level of English and Maths 
• Fresh ideas and a good insight into how to support teachers 
• Ready to learn new skills 
• Willing to learn teaching strategies and techniques 
• Proactive, creative, and innovative
• Flexible, engaging, and adaptable

• Provide an enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to pay for a new DBS (£26,000 ) and then subscribe to the update service (£13) 
• Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions. 
• Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and or/valid passport.
• If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK, a right to work visa and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more within the past 5 years must be provided.
