As a Care Assistant/Support Worker you will be responsible for meeting the requirements of the Service User in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would be expected to assist them with personal care and daily tasks as specified on the care plan.

The Care Assistant/Support Worker essential requirements:

• Self-motivated and well-organised
• Flexible with hours and shifts
• 1 Year mental health experience
• Have the ability to use own initiative
• Have the ability to communicate effectively
• Empathetic and sensitive to the needs of others
• QCF/NVQ 2 desirable but not essential

Responsibilities of the Care Assistant/Support Worker

• Interacting and communicating with the people you support in a way that promotes dignity and respect.
• Supporting people to live an everyday life and helping them engage with their families, friends and the local community.
• Supporting with cooking and assisting with personal care.
• Completing daily records and updating support plans.
• Administering medication to the service user if part of the care plan.

You will be required to work flexible shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays.
