Trainee Quantiity Surveyor

Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor Nr Bromley c 18k

Our client has been building in the Greater London Region since 1968, they are well known in the capital for their civil engineering and construction projects.
Ideally they are looking for someone who has recently graduated or completed their HNC in Quantity Surveying, but they would consider applications from people who have been working in the UK on building projects for at least 1 year as a trainee / assistant Quantity Surveyor with alternate building qualifications.

Key responsibilities:
Provide assistance to the Senior / Quantity Surveyor in preparation of:
Site measurement and records
Day work sheets and records
Labour and plant returns
Preparation of subcontractors accounts
Measurement and quantities for interim valuations
Maintain QS files and filing system
Read/review site correspondence files
Become competent in commercial site procedures, systems, cost control, variations of contract and methods of measurement
Negotiation with sub-contractors, clients representatives etc.
Ad hoc duties as job requires
