A well respected, house builder is looking to appoint a Technical Coordinator / Manager to join a friendly and well established team. The main objective will be to ensuring that design projects are delivered efficiently and to programme, whilst achieving targets for both the project and the brief.

The Technical Coordinator will assist with managing, coordinating and taking forward the company’s sites during the pre-construction phase, from handover from the Development Team, once planning consent has been achieved, until handover to the Construction Team (start on site). the Technical Coordinator will assist in the management of any design changes throughout the construction phase as required.

The Technical Coordinator will report to Director level and their role will include assisting with the management of the Design Team, external consultants, of design input from other external parties, liaison with the relevant statutory and local authorities, including liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives. They will assist on material selection/approval, commenting on construction detailing and methods, checking consultant and sub-contractors designs for buildability and compliance with statutory criteria/guidelines etc, and ensuring that projects meet Employer’s Requirements.

The Technical Coordinator will demonstrate a level of technical knowledge, including a working knowledge of the Building Regulations and technical design.

Ideally the Technical Coordinator have good civil engineering experience and be confident managing the statutory approvals process for S278/S38/S104 approvals, from submission through to signing of legal agreements.
