Building Surveyor

Our client is a leading multi-disciplined construction and property consultancy. They provide a definitive range of services to the UK building and construction industry, covering chartered building & quantity surveying, project management, architecture & master planning, civil & structural engineering, mechanical & electrical engineering, sustainability and health & safety.

They are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join the Building Surveying Team

The successful applicant will require previous experience of work to existing buildings, with particular experience of housing.

Qualifications appropriate to the level of position sought will be required, and RICS is preferred.

The applicants will be based at their North Kent head office, and will also be required to work at their offices close to London Bridge Station.

Requirements –

* You will be a qualified Chartered Building Surveyor with up to 12 months post-qualification experience gained in the private sector.
* Working direct with the in-house Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day control of a number of schemes from inception to completion.
* Duties will include agreeing work schedules with Contractors, preparing Specification of Works, ensuring Quality Standards are met, preparing valuations and fulfilling all Contract administration roles.
* The ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets is essential.
* A knowledge of Partnering Contracts is desirable, but not essential.

Hours: 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday
Holidays: From 24 days per annum, rising to 30 days depending on length of service
