Senior Automation & Projects Engineer urgently required to join a UK market leading pet care and food manufacturer. Taking responsibility for the implementation of control systems and IT solutions, you will also be delivering all aspects of factory improvements and new plant equipment.
Duties will fall into six main areas:
Implementing control system solutions for process plant and wrapping equipment
Project management of major new plant installations
Management of suppliers to meet project plans and timing
Generation of specifications for plant installations
Lead cross functional teams to deliver successful projects
Ideally you will possess a degree within electrical/electronic or software engineering OR equivalent experience and you MUST have solid background of the design of control systems from concept. You will have PLC, SCADA & Drives experience – Rockwell is preferred but not essential. Ideal SCADA knowledge includes Cimplicity, FactoryTalk and Wonderware InTouch – again, other systems are considered. Also required:
Ability to coordinate and direct suppliers
Understanding of safety system requirements and design ideal
Background of Food, Pharmaceutical or Automotive preferred

This role is commutable from Maidenhead, Slough, Staines-upon-Thames, Bracknell, Uxbridge and Watford. You can expect a base salary c£48,000 – £54,000 depending on experience with benefits to include pension, private healthcare, 26 days holiday and two annual bonuses.
