Service Supervisor / Service Manager – Refrigeration

Refrigeration Service Supervisor – Midlands
Global supplier of expertise in the installation and support of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems are looking to recruit a Service Supervisor based in Derby. The main responsibility of the Service Supervisor will be to assist the Service Supervisor in the operational duties by fully utilising technicians, service engineers and apprentices engaged in the maintenance, service, installation and repair of refrigerating, air conditioning and process plant to ensure satisfactory technical and financial results. The Service Supervisor will assist the Service Centre Manager in promoting and growth of the business in the area.

Any prospective Service Supervisor should have a recognised at technician / engineer level together with previous experience in man management in the service and maintenance of refrigeration. Ensure that the Company’s technical and safety standards are maintained and to make recommendations for improvements as necessary.

In addition the Service Supervisor should have:
• Organisational and verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in Ammonia handling, trained to 2078/79.
• Experience in accurately estimating labour costs.
• Ensure maximum utilisation of human and material resources, providing technical support as required.
• To carry out simple design and project work
• Correctly plan all service, maintenance, installation and repair work.
• Ensure that “hands-on” engineering training is being carried out in accordance with Company policy.
• Must have had previously responsibility for verification of time sheets to authorise payment of wages, allowances and expenses.
• Experience in management information ensuring that sufficient information is given for the preparation of a detailed sales invoice.
