Salary: £33,600 – £39,000 per year
Our client is an international Science & Innovation provider and they currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Design Engineer at their research centre based in Oxfordshire.
In this role you will be responsible for the design and procurement of mechanical components for various parts of the facility. This work includes the conceptual and detailed design phases, tender and procurement.
You will have a Degree, HND or HNC in a Mechanical Engineering subject and your duties will include full lifecycle engineering from concept to commissioning of one off components, production of mechanical designs and detailing using 2D and 3D CAD using AutoCAD.
This will include the presentation of designs for peer and stakeholder reviews, managing tendering, procurement and delivery of approved designs and coordinating engineering activities. Previous experience within a scientific facility would be advantageous.
