Role – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary – £48,000 – £49,200 + Pension + 2K Bonus
Location – Bromley by Bow
Shift Pattern – 4 on 6 off (2 days, 2 nights, 12 hour shifts)

ATA Recruitment is currently working with one of the largest providers of automated material handling systems in the world. The company turns over more than £1 billion worldwide and over £50 million in the UK alone. They are currently employing around 200 staff and growing.
The company designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of machinery including cranes, conveyor systems, shuttle systems and robots. The site in Bromley by Bow is a brand new state of the art facility and is due to open in 2016 with a team of 7 engineers. It will be a fully automated.com warehouse for a High Street Supermarket.

The Role
The role of Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will involve:

70% Mechanical and 30% electrical work on a day to day basis.
*
Working on a wide variety of machinery including a shuttle system, conveyors, elevators and some compressed air equipment.
*
Mechanically you will mainly be tensioning belts and replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings, chains and pulleys.
*
Electrical work will include fault finding on electrical control circuits and using PLC control systems to find faults. (No programming)
*
The work will be 50% planned maintenance and the rest of the time you will be available to react to breakdowns.
*
Brand new distribution centre so you will be fully involved in the installation and commissioning of all machinery.
*
Working independently unless on shift with the Team Leader.
The Person
To be successful as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer you will need:
*
An electrical or mechanical qualification. (ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds 232).
*
If you are mechanically biased some form of electrical conversion course qualification will be required.
*
Experience in an automated environment – distribution, automotive, food/beverage production or automated warehousing to name a few.
*
Happy to work a 4 on 6 off shift pattern.
*
Confident, outgoing individual who is happy to liaise technically with individuals at all levels.
