Logistics / Transport Coordinator

Salary: £26,000 per year

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well established industrial supplies distribution company in the recruitment of a Logistics Co-ordinator.

Based at their new site, this is a newly created role due to company expansion, therefore there is a lot of scope for progression and plans to develop this role to become Operations Manager.

You will be responsible for transport planning of all deliveries. This will involve allocating work to a small team of drivers and the relevant load planning, route planning etc.

Over time the role will grow and develop to also oversee production; ensure that orders are fulfilled – liaising with warehouse and ensure orders are ready for despatch.

Suitable applicants will have proven transport planning experience as well as experience in wider supply chain duties.

You must be highly organised, a great communicator and have sound IT skills.
