Commercial Gas Engineer

Due to recent lucrative contract awards, my client a well-established and successful Building Services provider to the built environment are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to support servicing and maintenance works throughout the East Coast of Scotland on a full time permanent basis.

Employed in a field based role covering Edinburgh and the East, you will be carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance works that can include PPM’s, reactive breakdowns and repairs along with statutory gas maintenance to a wide range of commercial gas boilers, heating systems and associated mechanical services on a customer base that can range from retail, commercial offices, warehouses and Industrial factories.

Essential requirements:

• Ideally served a recognised apprenticeship
• Hold valid Commercial Gas certification
• Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification
• Skill levels in all aspects of commercial gas maintenance
• A good knowledge of all building services
• Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care with excellent communication skills.
• Full UK Drivers Licence.
• Undergo relevant Disclosure/CRB checks

Due to the nature of the role my client requires an Engineer who can take ownership of allocated jobs, liaise with the public/client and bring reactive works to a close with positive results.

The successful Engineer will have a proven track record of the above requirements (this is essential) and be able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care, good communication skills, a pro-active attitude and the capability to complete essential paperwork. Experience in anticipating and repairing faults will be required.
