Commercial Gas Engineer

My client who are a UK Leading Facilities Management provider to the built environment are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out service and maintenance works across a number of commercial, retail and public sector contracts throughout Glasgow and the West on a full time permanent basis.

Employed in field based role covering Glasgow and the West, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance works that can include PPM’s, servicing, reactive breakdowns and repairs to various types of boilers, heating systems and associated mechanical services.

Essential requirements:

• Ideally have served a recognised apprenticeship.
• Hold valid Commercial Gas Certification
• Hold a formal electrical qualification i.e. 17th Edition etc.
• Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification.
• Skill levels in all aspects of commercial gas servicing and maintenance.
• A good knowledge of all building services
• Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care with excellent communication skills.
• Full UK Drivers Licence.
• Undergo relevant Disclosure/CRB checks

The successful Engineer will have a proven track record of the above requirements (this is essential) and be able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care, good communication skills, a pro-active attitude and the capability to complete essential paperwork. Experience in anticipating and repairing faults will be required.
