Cubiq Recruitment are representing a world-leader in the defence sector that pioneer in the design & development of cutting edge systems and armoured vehicles.
We are urgently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well established multi-disciplined engineering team. The role will require a holistic approach to mechanical engineering, taking into account factors such as safety, cost and ease of manufacture.
Responsibilities:
Produce mechanical design solutions including concepts, packaging and platform installation design
Ensure the mechanical installation design solutions fulfil the vehicle requirements
Integrity of the mechanical design solution, including safety
Supporting the mechanical design process during the project lifecycle
Preparation of material for internal and external design reviews
Effectively communicate design options & constraints to the Lead Engineer
BoM management at platform levelEducation/Previous Experience:
Degree or HND in a mechanical engineering related subject
Proficient user of Pro Engineer or similar package
Military vehicle design experience desirable, but not essential
Design and development of mechanical components and systems
Produce detail design drawings
BoM management and maintenance
