They now have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join them where you will teach Maths and Functional Skills qualifications. Joining the Skills team, you will have sole responsibility for teaching Maths across the College to students aged 16 – 18 and 19 years plus.

As a Mathematics Tutor you will teach and assess on a range of Maths courses, primarily GCSE and Functional Skills. Taking an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation, as well as the marketing, selection and recruitment for College courses, you will be involved in curriculum planning and product development so that the College’s strategic objectives are delivered.

They are looking for someone who has a mathematics degree or equivalent, coupled with a teaching qualification. With excellent teaching skills and experience of teaching and assessing GCSE Maths practices within a learning environment, you will have a good understanding of current curriculum initiatives for learning strategies in GCSE and FS Maths.

Having excellent organisation skills is key, as is being able to teach at a level appropriate to the students, and in a way that recognises their different learning abilities. Above all, you will have the ability to communication effectively with staff and students at all levels and in a multi-cultural environment.
