Salary: £43,200 per year
Adept Engineering and Technical division are working with one of the regions most established manufacturers to recruit for a Development Engineer to join their team in Sheffield.
You will be working on a series of activities on R+D funded projects.Applicants are expected to have a good working knowledge and practical expertise in the fields of metal working and computer simulation. You should also have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Physics science
Tasks:
* Operate hardware and software as required for extensive computer simulations to evaluate forgings and castings integrity.
* Write reports and papers to contribute to and support the work of the Research and Development Department.
* Produce and deliver presentations for colleagues, customers and auditors.
* Carry out experiments to support technological development.
* Operate lab equipment to support material investigations and trials.
* Assist in the design of manufacturing processes and the design of related items of plant and equipment.
* Travel, as necessary, to fulfil the requirements of various projects.
