Salary: £38,400 – £54,000 per year
Exciting opportunity to join a leading GLP environmental testing laboratory as a Technical Specialist in Gas Chromatography!
Working as a Technical Specialist you will utilise your experience and knowledge to:
- Develop, optimise and validate methods for analysis of environmental samples
- Provide technical support to the organics laboratory
- Operate, maintain and troubleshooting the Gas Chromatography instruments (GC-MS, GC-FID)
- Sample extraction and preparation
- Supervise and train junior staff within the team
The successful candidate will have:
- BSc in Chemistry or related subject
- >5 years’ experience with GC-MS (GC-FID, HPLC, LC-MS advantageous)
- Method development on GC-MS instruments
- Experience of sample preparation techniques (LLE, SPE, etc)
- Positive attitude and attention to detail
