Quality Manager

Ripe4 are delighted to announce a rare and exciting opportunity for a customer-focused Quality Manager (QM) to join a world renowned brand in the FMCG sector.

The QM will champion and develop the strategy for Quality, GSM, Legislation and Food safety across all internal departments, always with the aim of delighting the customer.

Duties
• Design and develop quality systems which will add value to the business
• Lead the Food Safety Team
• Continuous improvement of quality assurance procedures, systems and strategy across the value chain
• Train team members to ensure maintenance of procedures
• Translate customer needs into recommended action plans and work with client staff to implement these
• Work with other QMs across the business to find solutions to common problems
• Foster awareness of Quality initiatives and projects by mentoring and coaching others
• Implement preventative, proactive and predictive projects on site, in line with the company’s QMS
• Contribute actively to the QA Team by addressing issues as they arise and identifying opportunities for Continuous Improvement, exploit these utilising Lean TPM methodology

Requirements
• Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science preferred
• Outstanding Project Management skills
• Minimum 5 years experience within a factory and/or FMCG environment
• Proven record of strategy development and implementation
• Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders, both internal and external
• Personal accountability and ability to work independently
