Job Location – Winsford
Salary: £26,000per year / £20,995

Our client is a manufacturer of vehicle bodies and commercial trailers based in the Cheshire area.

We are looking for a Stores Person to join them due to increasing requirements and a growing order book.

The Role

Key Objectives

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor your key responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the stores.

This will involve issuing and distributing tools, parts, consumables to the production staff as required. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and reordering as required to meet the build schedule. You will ensure accurate and reliable stock levels and update and maintain all record keeping.

Responsibilities include

Liaising with the Materials team to ensure that all stock requirements are met
Ensuring all stock is stored in the correct location
Assisting the Materials Supervisor with stock checks
Monitoring stock levels and reporting requirements
Checking goods in- ensuring correct quantity and quality
Maintaining accurate records for issue of tools
Ensuring adherence to H&S rules and regulations
Ensuring cleanliness and good housekeeping is maintained in and around the stores

The role will require day-to-day contact with internal and external contacts including Directors, Factory Materials Supervisor and Suppliers. Effective face to face communication skills as well as effective written communication skills are essential.

Key Skills And Experience

Hands on materials/stores experience ideally in Engineering or Manufacturing
A well organised and structured approach to record keeping
IT skills
