Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
My client, a leading Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineering Consultancy with offices throughout the UK are searching for an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team in London to work on a range multi-disciplinary projects.
Candidates are expected to have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, or Physical Geography including modules in Environmental Science, Soil Mechanics or Contaminated Land.
It is also essential for candidates to have 1-3 years’ experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing Phase 1 Desk Studies and supervising Phase 2 Site Investigations.
It will be highly beneficial for candidates to have experience working with the software Holebase.
This fantastic opportunity will have you join a busy team where you will be required to support the delivery of projects to make sure they are delivered on time and to a high standard. You will be working within a supportive team who will give specialist training with managing projects and supervising sub-contractors on site during ground investigations.
As an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer you will be out on site monitoring gas and groundwater, sampling of rock and soils and scheduling laboratory testing for contamination and geotechnical analysis. You will also be writing factual and interpretive reports. You will be completing Phase 1 desk studies and also Phase 2 Site Investigations.
