Salary: £45,600 – £52,800 per year

A manufacturer of complex components to the aerospace, defence & energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Supervisor. With a focus on continuous and process improvement, you will be responsible for the manufacturing operations team in the machine shop and candidates are sought after with managerial experience in a machining manufacturing environment

The Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for:

The management of your team to deliver products on time, to cost and at levels of quality compliant with programme demands.

Ensuring your team operate in accordance with the Company’s, Health Environmental and Safety policies

Following the Quality System and Manufacturing Procedures.

Maintaining the competency, capability and capacity of the Machining Team to ensure delivery of programme requirements

Managing, training and coach Machining Team.

Following SAP generated production plans and developing plans to maximise labour efficiency

The Management of local KPI’s, analysing and establishing improvement actions in line with business targets

Managing consumable items within cost targets.

Recruitment of staff, training and development.

The Candidate

Candidates are sought with experience working in a machining environment and must have excellent leadership and management skills. You will be conversant in resource planning, have a good understanding of risk and risk mitigation and knowledge and understanding of MRP.
