THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS
Technical Author
• Paying £30,000 – £36,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
• Located on Surrey/Hampshire border

THE CANDIDATE
Technical Author
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Must be able to interpret an engineering diagram and understanding the fundamental elements of a design
• Experience working in an aerospace related industry or environment or another highly regulated industry

Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Technical authoring/publications/illustration experience within a highly regulated industry sector
• Competent working experience of Isodraw
• Competent working experience of Arbortext Epic Editor and an understanding of SGML tagged data
• Some exposure to Catia V5 would be highly desirable
• Educated in engineering or related skill to a competent level

THE ROLE
Technical Author
To provide support documentation for “in service” components as per CAA BCAR section A, A4-8 para. 5.3, A5-3/JAA21.119, JAR 21.120, EASA Part 21, 21A, 21a.119 and 21A.120 requirements.
• To write and illustrate Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM’S)
• Writing and illustrating Service Bulletins
• Writing and illustrating Service Information Letters (SIL’s)
• Writing and illustrate Installation Documents
• Writing and illustrating Repair Manuals
• To provide support documentation
