Salary: £28,800 – £31,200 per year

Conveyancing Assistant

This award winning and well regarded Legal 500 firm with multiple offices in the South East have seen significant growth of the past 5 years. Are now looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their property department based in Ilford.

As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant you will possess at least 2 years recent conveyancing experience.

The Role

* To provide support to fee earners

* Opening, updating and closing of files

* Prepare draft contracts

* Preparing correspondence and documents through Audio typing

* Provide guidance to junior and temporary secretaries as and when required

* Handling a full residential caseload under supervision. To include freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases and mortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership and new builds

* Raising enquiries, answering enquiries

* Preparing statements

* Dealing with exchanges and completions

* Notice of transfers charges

* Filing SDLT and land registry forms on line

* Producing bills and statements to be sent to clients

* Setting up files for completion and sending completion funds to solicitors

* Liaising with clients, solicitors and lenders to progress residential transactions and update on the progress

The Candidate

* You will have at least 2 year’s residential property experience gained within a reputable law firm

* Strong IT skills, excellent communication skills

* The ability to be able to multitask

* Work well under pressure

* A desire to progress your career within Conveyancing

* Hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30 am
