Higher Level Teaching Assistants – Hltas

Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

With the summer holidays fast approaching, School House Recruitment is currently looking to recruit additional Higher Level Teaching Assistants – HLTAs, for schools in Sheffield and Rotherham.

Schools are already starting to plan for September and, following our most successful year ever, now is the perfect time to register for supply work

The primary schools we work closely with really appreciate the difference Higher Level Teaching Assistants – HLTAs can make. Especially the valuable flexibility they provide, whether delivering whole class tuition or undertaking intervention work with smaller groups

Interested candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate relevant qualification(s) and have recent, appropriate experience within the previous 18 months.

Interested candidates should be confident classroom practitioners, with excellent classroom management skills, who are able to deliver planned lessons skilfully. They maximise pupil engagement and encourage pupils to enjoy their time in school. Responsibilities often involve being called upon to provide PPA cover for the class teacher, sickness cover and cover for training courses.

• An experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant – HLTA seeking a little variety via supply work
• Confident and able to lead whole of class in addition to smaller groups and 121 tuition
• Able to demonstrate recent classroom experience and a sound knowledge of the curriculum
• Highly motivated and keen to ensure children enjoy learning
• Able to deliver inspiring, planned lessons that hold the attention of young inquisitive minds
