Organic Chemistry Analyst-LC&GC- Water Testing-Permanent-Camberley-Surrey-£19k-20k + Excellent company benefits

A leading water company currently requires an Organic Chemistry Analyst to join their quality department to help provide hands on laboratory support to the team. Your main focus will be to prepare and perform chemical analysis using Liquid and Gas Chromatography (LC & GC), in accordance with the Laboratory Management System. You will also assist in other analytical tasks within the Organic and the Inorganic sections in Chemistry and provide an analytical service to the company and their commercial customers.

Duties include:

* Performing analysis and operating instrumentation in accordance with the Management System.
* Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Chromatographic and preparatory equipment.
* Analyse and interpret data, calculate results and complete all laboratory paperwork.
* Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
* Ensure data is accurately entered into the Laboratory Information Management System within set timeframes.
* Ensure that the sample stability and turnaround for the given analysis is met.
* Communicate with senior members of staff on any quality/technical issue.
* Maintain good laboratory practice and housekeeping at all times.
* Assist in method validation when required.

To be considered for this opportunity you will possess hands on industrial laboratory experience using chromatography analytical techniques including GC & LC. You will also hold degree level qualification in a scientific subject (ideally Chemistry or related). Strong communication & excellent team working skills will also be required.
