£20,000 – £25,000 depending on experience

My client has been manufacturing pharmaceutical products for over 20 years. In recent years their teams have rapidly expanded and they now formulate over 2,000 products. They have a diverse team of scientists who work on formulations, product development, regulatory support and analysis. The analyst will have a scientific background and experience in wet chemical techniques.

Instrumentation is key to the job: HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, ICP and UV spectroscopy are just some of the analytical equipment you will be operating. Some training will be available but a familiarity with the technology would be an advantage.

Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory would be beneficial as would experience validating analytical methods (ICH Q2).

This role could appeal to:

• A graduate (new or experienced) in a relevant science.

• Someone with industry experience working with HPLC and ICP instruments.

In either case, an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, quality control and good manufacturing practice would be an advantage.
