WorldStores

Salary: £26,000 per year

Do you have a keen interest in ecommerce and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fun yet focused work environment that’s filled with top-tier talent? Then consider a move to WorldStores.

The UK’s largest online retailer of products for the home and garden, with 230 staff, 600,000 products and sales in excess of £70m a year, we’ve enjoyed huge commercial success over the past five years but are still hungry for more. That’s why, right now, we’re looking to strengthen our ecommerce team by recruiting two ambitious individuals for this challenging, exciting and rewarding role.

A rare chance to share in the success of a leading online business, you’ll help our Ecommerce Managers drive the commercial performance of a portfolio of online stores as you play your part in ensuring we maximise revenue and profit growth. As well as compiling details of new products to be added to the sites, and managing their development from upload to photo-shoot, you’ll monitor the availability of key product lines and adjust our on-site promotions accordingly. Checking the sites daily to ensure they are functioning correctly will be important too, as will assisting with business reporting, running web analytics reports and analysing competitor sites.

Liaising with customer service, marketing and operations managers to ensure a seamless customer journey from pre-sale to delivery.

Working with the content team to gather product information, contacting suppliers and working on the launch of new sites – all are aspects of a role that promises interest, variety and rapid on-the-job learning.

Ideally with a degree, possibly in a business or analytical discipline, you have a genuine interest in online retail, including the planning and pricing of product ranges. The attention to detail it takes to learn the market dynamics of a number of product categories in depth is important too, as is a basic understanding of, or willingness to learn about PPC and SEO.

You’ll need strong IT skills too, particularly Excel, plus a flair for quickly getting to grips with new software and systems. Accurate, enthusiastic, adaptable and efficient, your experience to date has given you a commercial awareness that includes the ability to produce accurate business reports and to build effective relationships with suppliers. Knowledge of Photoshop/HTML, whilst useful, is not essential, as full training can be given.

This is a great opportunity to start your career in Ecommerce with the country’s leading home & garden online retailer.
